KATHMANDU: McDowell’s No 1 in association with Nepal 1 channel presented a Lhosar Open-Air Live Concert on March 27 at Sherpa Service Centre, Boudha. The event was organised by Pinasha Ad & Graphics Private Limited and the official media was Annapurna Post.

The programme started very late indeed, nevertheless, the crowd patiently waited for it to start. Chief guest was Nepal Sherpa Association president Kripa Sur Sherpa. Palden from Pinasha stated, "We have organised this event to commemorate Lhosar festival and also to encourage some new artistes to show their talent. The sum collected from the event is going to be utilised in Buddha Jayanti and part of it will be donated to the Sherpa Society."

The event highlighted performances by Samde Sherpa, best comedy actor of Motion Picture Award 2060. He was also the MC of the event. The other artistes were Nalina Chitrakar, Lakpa Sherpa, Dhiraj Rai, Raju Lama, Kranti Ale, Mingma Sherpa, Dream Gals, Dendi Sherpa and Kamala Sherpa.
