What’s on your playlist?
I have a select number of tracks for my playlist in 2016. It includes Astrix ‘s SAPANA, My mind by Outsider’s, Revolution ( FF rmx) by Liquid soul’s and Alma Bire by Sonic Species.
What is your music resolution for the New Year?
My resolution is to improvise. Although my music genre has always been same-psy trance/progressive I would like to try new beats in 2016.
Artist that you are looking forward to listening to...
Currently I am hooked to the sounds of Lane 8 . My personal favourite is ‘Rise’ from his latest album. I am also looking forward to artists like Max Cooper, 16 bit Lolita, Karmon and Solee. I like ‘How deep is your love’ by Calvin Harris so I am looking forward to his upcoming releases.
Where will we find you in 2016?
I’ll continue playing every Friday at The Victory Lounge. I also have my own project called Side - B which is an underground electronic music event. You’ll see me more involved in this project in 2016.
Events you are looking forward to in 2016...
In Nepal, I am really looking forward to Dancemandu Music Festival and I definitely don’t want to miss The Hilltop Festival in India.
What will your musical journey be like in 2016?
I have just started an electronic music academy called 909 Academy, Studio in Kathmandu where I intend to teach and promote new talent in DJing and production. I am also working on my own production and wish to release an EP on one of the recognised record labels.
Artist you are looking forward to hear ...
I’m actually more into the old time music like ‘Prodigy and Fatboy Slim’. They were one of the pioneers and I wish they would produce new songs in 2016.
Party plans for 2016...
I have planned a few good events for the upcoming year but they’re still in the planning phase now.
