Neighbours after all

NEW DELHI:

Indian actress Sushmita Sen will travel to Pakistan in September to help cricketer Imran Khan raise funds for his cancer hospital, a news report said on May 19.

“I have been a big fan of his throughout his career. And now, to be invited by him, especially for something that’s so close to my heart, is a great honor for me,” The Times of India quoted Sen as saying.

A meeting with Pakistani President Gen Pervez Musharraf is also planned, the newspaper said. Imran Khan, a former Pakistani cricketer and a politician, founded the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital, a charity-based hospital in Karachi. “It’s a noble cause and I’ll do whatever is within my capacity to increase cancer awareness,” Sen was quoted as saying.
