Here’s a piece of good news for all Nepali music fans in US. Musicians and artistes from Nepal will performing at different cities in the US for three months starting with the ‘July 4 Celebrations’ in Los Angeles. The performing artistes are Nhyoo Bajracharya, Sabin Rai, Deepesh Bhattarai, Sujil Karmacharya (Seasons Band), Amul Karki, Gopal Rasaili and Indra Man, with Jems Pradhan and Yogeshwor Amatya slated to join them later. The musicians have been invited by the Association of Nepalese in America. — HNS

Nekhvam wows Spanish crowd

KATHMANDU: Well-known blues band Nekhvam was invited to Almeria, Spain to represent Nepal and perform at the Almar Festival 2007 on June 27. According to a Nekhvam Rendezvous press statement, the performance was supposed to be of one hour 15 minutes, but on audience request they played for two hours. The concert was organised by Area de Cultura Ayuntamiento de Almar. Apart from the festival, they also got to play at Clasi Jazz Club (Association Cultural Indiana Jazz Band) on June 30 in front of an audience of 300. — HNS
