Nepathya readies for nation-wide tour

KATHMANDU: Nepathya is all set to tour the country again, states a nepalaya statement released on December 18.

The band will be visiting 15 places in a span of 40 days.

As has been the way in the past, this time too Nepathya is associating their venture with a social cause. “Giving continuity to Nepathya’s past association, this time too, Nepathya will be speaking for the children of the nation,” the statement quotes Nepathya manager Kiran Krishna Shrestha as saying.

The tour as such has been called ‘Nepathya Education for Peace Tour 2063’.

“Children in schools and the education sector still need a voice. Children are still vulnerable to political and other exploitations. Thus, we decided to continue with our slogan — Education for Peace,” says Amrit Gurung, Nepathya’s frontman.

The entourage will leave Kathmandu on December 21, and will be back for the final show in Kathmandu on January 31, 2007.

The tour will travel through Narayanghat, Damak, Dhankuta, Lahan, Hetauda, Butwal, Dhangadi, Surkhet, Sandhikharka, Tamghas, Pokhara, Besi Sahar, Trisuli Bazaar and Jiri.

The major share from the ticket proceedings will be contributed to local welfare purposes through local organisers.
