KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 9

For the upcoming Nepal Premier League (NPL), Nepal's premier folk-rock band Nepathya joined forces with the local team Pokhara Avengers to hold a grand concert in Pokhara on Friday.

According to Nepathya's management company, more than 10,000 spectators filled Pokhara Rangasala to witness the band's electrifying performance.

As the clock struck 6:00 PM, the band opened the show with their hit song "Ho Rama Rama" and entertained the audience for two hours with a seamless mix of their classic and contemporary tracks.

The repertoire included early classics such as "Aanganai Bhari" and "Chekyo Chekyo," as well as evergreen hits like "Chari Maryo Sisai Ko Goli" and "Jomsome Bazar." Fans enthusiastically sang along to favorites like "Resham" and "Taal Ko Pani," and also responded with equal fervor to patriotic songs including "Rato Ra Chandrasurya" and "Gaun Gaun Bata Uth."

During the concert, lead vocalist Amrit Gurung addressed the contemporary political situation following the Gen-Z movement, urging the younger generation to actively engage in nation-building. "To the new generation, I urge everyone to exercise restraint as we chart the path forward now that the groundwork for change has been laid," he said. "Do not miss the opportunity to register your names in the voter list, and I encourage all of you to participate fully in the upcoming elections to help shape the nation's future," reads the statement.

On stage, Amrit was accompanied by Dhruv Lama on drums, Subin Shakya on bass guitar, Neeraj Gurung on guitar, Shanti Rayamajhi on madal, and Dineshraj Regmi on keyboards.

Following their Pokhara performance, Nepathya is set to embark on a two-week concert tour in Japan, performing in three cities, including the capital Tokyo. The first show is scheduled in Nagoya this Thursday (Kartik 27).

For Japanese audiences, online ticketing arrangements have been made. Fans can secure their seats directly through Nepathya's official website: www.nepathya.com.np, according to the statement.
