Nepathya set to embark on 3 city concert tour

KATHMANDU: Nepathya, a popular folk rock band in Nepal, is set to embark on a three city concert tour within the country, as part of its 25 years celebration.

Issuing a press statement today, Nepathya said it will kick off its tour from Damak in Jhapa district, Narayangadh in Chitwan and end its tour in Bhairahawa of Rupandehi.

The band will perform at the Saraswoti School in Damak on Friday, January 12, which is being organised by 3ink Vision, Jay Media and Purwanchal Rocks.

After enthralling audiences in Damak, the band will head to Narayangadh to entertain its listeners at the Narayani River Bank, where it had performed two years ago, on the occasion of Maghe Sakranti, on Monday, January 15.

The show is being managed by Dataz Event Management.

Nepal's most popular band will then leave for Bhairahawa, their last stopover, to perform at the Paklihawa School Ground on Thursday, January 18, on the occasion of Sonam Lhosar, which is being organised by Perfect Event Squad, as said in the statement.

"We had established a special bond with our listeners outside the capital with our nation-wide peace concert tours during the conflict times," Napathya's lead singer Amrit Gurung said.

"We are keen to stay connected with our audiences through our music," Gurung added.

The band is set to perform songs from its collection of both old and new including few songs from its upcoming 10th album at the concerts, as stated in the statement.

Last year, the band had performed open air shows during 2017 tour in Kathmandu, Butwal and Pokhara.
