Nepathya to perform in Dubai
KATHMANDU: Nepal's premier folk-rock band, Nepathya, is all set to enthral audiences at the Al Nasr Leisure Land of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the band said today.
After rocking the same venue four years ago, a 10-member Nepathya entourage will perform for the second time on Friday, March 15, according to Nepathya.
Before embarking on a tour, the band's legendary singer Amrit Gurung is very excited to perform at the Al Nasr Ice Skating Ground in the UAE, as mentioned in the statement.
"It is an honour to perform for those whose hard-work has been the backbone of Nepal's remittance-based economy," said Nepathya lead singer and social activist Amrit Gurung. "The band is delighted to perform for the Nepalis in Dubai, who have been living away from their homes."
The concert in Dubai is being organised by a group of energetic Nepali youths. "We are really excited to welcome Nepathya again in Dubai at the same venue with a state-of-the-art technical system," says Mohan Limbu one of the organisers of the event.
As usual, Amrit Gurung will be accompanied on stage by Dhruba Lama on drums, Suraj Thapa on keyboards, Subin Shakya on bass guitar, Niraj Gurung on guitars and Shanti Rayamajhi on madal.
