Palpa:

The Sundar Shanta Nepal Travelling Peace Concert 2062 was a major hit at Tundikhel, Tansen on October 24 and enthralled thousands. There was a huge turnout for the concert. People of all ages could be seen dancing and singing along with the singers. Not only the civilians, the RNA men at Ranabam Company and securitymen deployed, were seen enjoying the show. It was aired live by all four FM stations — Shreenagar, Paschimanchal, Madanpokhara and Muktinath.

It kicked off with artistes of Deurali Cultural Family of Palpa singing Ma sano chaina. Brothers Satya and Swaroop Raj Acharya managed to captivate the audience with Jahan chan, Halla nagara and Hajaar aankhaa. Sapana Shree sang Hereko timilai and Sawari mero railaima, while the audience danced and sang along with Jyoti Ghimire and Om Bikram Bista. The joy of Palpalis was clearly discernable at the mention of Palpali dhaka when Kunti Moktan sang Choli ramro Palpali dhakako.

Mira Rana with Hami bina chaldaina, and Amrit Gurung and Deurali Samuha with their Chari maryo sissaiko golile, made the Palpalis nostalgic. The local organisers for the event were Palpa Jaycees, FNJ and Janata Higher Secondary School. The event is being organised by Himal Association and managed by Nepa~laya.
