Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow says that her new shorter haircut was an emotional transition because it involved cutting off the hair she has had since before her father died.

The actress began growing her hair before filmmaker Bruce Paltrow died in 2002. She kept it even when she married Coldplay rocker Chris Martin and gave birth to their two children.
