The boys from Patan Multiple Campus lifted the 32nd Ratna Inter-College Quiz Competition shield on December 10. The General Manager of NIDC Milan Ratna Shah was the chief guest of the programme.

In a tie-breaker, which was a little confusing as the marks on the board did not tally with that on the scorekeepers’ sheets, between St Xavier’s and Patan Multiple Campus, well one can say Shakira cost the Xavier boys their place in the sun.

With confidence the Xavierians blurted out their answer to the final question related to World Cup 2006 as “Shakira”, which was wrong and presented the Ratna Shield to the PMC boys on a platter.

One even saw a lille ‘Hips-shaking’ from the winners. Four teams — St Xavier’s, Patan Multiple Campus, Budhanilkantha and Campion Academy — had made it to the finals. Altogether 25 teams from different school had participated in contest, which was organised by the Godavari Alumni Association.
