Jhapa:

The Travelling Peace Concert 2062 kicked off on October 15 at Birtamod of Jhapa. A huge crowd had gathered at the premises of the Devi Lower Secondary School for the concert. And the crowd was not left disappointed as popular and well-loved singers like Mira Rana, Om Bikram Bista, Amrit Gurung, Kunti Moktan, Satya and Swaroop Raj Acharya made them tap and sway to their tunes. With songs like Makhamali Cholo Chahidaina, Rato ra Chandra Surya, Gothalo Jaanda…, Ko ho tyo jasle... to clap to, the crowd was aptly entertained. The Concert is being organised by the Himal Association and is managed by Nepalaya. The local organisers for Birtamod run were Jhapa Chapter of Federation of Nepalese Journalists, Dhulabari Campus, Jhapa, Mechi Badminton Association and Devi school. The Concert is an effort to spread the message of peace in all corners of the country. The next destination is Hetauda. So, all Hetauda folks get ready to an afternoon of pure music and good times on October 17 at the Siddarha school ground. Ticket is priced at Rs 10 each.
