Peace gig sways Hetauda

Hetauda:

The Travelling Peace Concert for a Sundar Shanta Nepal was an awesome hit at its second stop of Hetauda. Hundreds had gathered at the Siddhartha secondary school ground on October 17, and by the time concert ended, they were screaming for more. One such enraptured member of audience was Hom Karki who said he did not realise where the time had flown and it was a very enjoyable experience. The scorching sun could not deter the people’s spirit. Their enthusiasm was reflected in the way they stomped away to Amrit Gurung’s Resham, Kunti Moktan’s Dalidalima and Om Bikram Bista’s Ko ho tyo. The mass twirled to Mira Rana’s Makhamali cholo chahidaina and Moktan’s Choli ramro. Brothers Swaroop and Satya Raj Acharya were a major hit at the Hetauda programme. A local band, Buds, also performed its popular song Birsana sakdina.

Over 15,000 persons had turned up for the concert. The event is being organised by Himal Association and is managed by Nepalaya. The local organisers for Hetauda concert were Siddhartha secondary school and Makwanpur chapter of FNJ.
