The sight of these attractive pastries will indisputably melt you down. When you devour it the marvelous taste it has reveals the finesse with which they have been prepared. “Someone who tastes these pastries once will definitely come back again,” says Chef Situ Ratna Sthapit describing his luscious creations.

Hotel Shangri-la has opened up a brand new Cake Shop within its premises, with some of the finest cakes and pastries in town. With their secret recipes of special creams and liquors these pastries are a must have.

An impressive variety to choose from, they have Florida, with fruits and grandmanier giving it a succulent juicy touch, or the rich creamy Black forest with the cherry cooked in red wine. For those who like Brownies they have Virginia and American Brownies. If it’s a different flavour you wish to try there’s Franzipane made from almond powder. Blueberry tart is another item which you should try. And of course cakes and pastries would never be complete without chocolate flavoured ones which taste amazing.

Millefeuille and Success cakes are their unique creations and you have to go to Shangri-la to taste it. Millefeuille which means millions of layers, has various layers giving it a creamy crunchy taste. While Success cake is a mixture of meringue and almond layered with chocolate and butter cream, a combination too tempting to resist. And there is of course the delicious Tiramisu, the Chef’s favourite. Do visit and gorge on various others that are available besides these. Indulge in the coffee varieties that blend in with these pastries. There’s Italian and French bread, Fruit loaf and other bakery products as well.

The place is open from 7 to 9. A special opening discount of 25 % is being offered till June 7.
