Praises for Ledger’s Joker

LONDON: The last performance of the late Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight, is described as “the finest of his career”.

Mirror.co.uk reports that those, who have seen the preview, are responding well to the Joker character. Critic David Germain said, “Jack Nicholson’s Joker was camp and clever. Ledger’s Joker is an all-out terror.”

Ledger’s character plans abductions, assassination attempts, murders and bombings all aimed to destroy his arch nemesis Batman.

Some say that the actor, who passed away in January at the age of 28 after taking an overdose of medicine, is a favourite for best supporting actor nomination for the Oscars.

The Dark Knight is being dedicated to the late Australian actor Heath Ledger who will be seen as Joker in it.

He will be honoured along with the stuntman Conway Wickliffe, who died during filming.
