Presley marries for fourth time

LOS ANGELES: US Singer Lisa Marie Presley, has married for the fourth time, tying the knot with music producer Michael Lockwood at a ceremony in Japan, her publicist said.

The daughter of the ‘King of Rock’ Elvis Presley, wed in a traditional Japanese ceremony in the ancient city of Kyoto last month, with her mother Priscilla Presley giving her away and her first husband acting as best man.

“Lisa Marie Presley was married to musician and producer Michael Lockwood on January 22, 2006,” her spokesman Paul Bloch said in Los Angeles. “The bride’s mother, Priscilla Presley, walked her down the aisle and gave her away,” he said.

Presley, 38, picked her daughter, Riley Keough, 16, as her maid of honour and her son Benjamin Keough, 13, as a groomsman. In an unusual twist, her first husband Danny Keough was Lockwood’s best man, Bloch revealed.

Presley was married to Keough from 1988 to 1994 and went on to wed pop icon Michael Jackson, whom she divorced in 1996, and then tied the knot with Oscar-winning actor Nicolas Cage.

Cage filed for divorce in November 2002, after just three months of marriage to Presley, saying the union had been “a big mistake.”
