Remembrance of joys past

Star light, star bright

The first star I see tonight

I wish I may, I wish I might

Have the wish, I wish tonight…..

Tonight will be no ordinary night. I’ll walk to my bed, trying hard not to bring to mind all the glimpses that will haunt me through the night and surely throughout my life.

As I walk down memory lane, I can only clearly understand my playful visions. Six academic years that waited to see me mature here at Malpi International School have finally, but sadly, come to an end. The School has prepared us, its first tenth graders, to be the very best, as well as, to face the worst, providing us with a paramount holistic education, and this is exactly what we have shared and gained. As the School’s first tenth graders, we have tremendous confidence in ourselves, and for this, our deepest gratitude goes to our teachers and the entire School family.

My present is at Malpi International School, but my future lies elsewhere. The word ‘future’ sends a chill down my spine, as I am unaware of what it holds in store for me. Whatever I may pursue after my schooling career, I plan to do it with utmost sincerity and apply all the knowledge, skills and life-skills I have learnt, in order to further reach the heights of success and achieve dignity that will reflect my identity, which I am confident, will be far beyond comparison.

I am overwhelmed with emotions at this stage of writing this article. I wish that time would stop and everything come to a standstill, for it is difficult for me to come to terms with the fact that I will be chronicled in the history of my School, along with my 34 class-mates. On the other hand, I would like everyone also to remember that: “time does not fly, it rushes. So, get hold of it - NOW!”

As for now, Malpi International School - the school that lies amidst serenity and a panorama of elegance, embraces all the years that I spent here during my school days, and the same will flash back as I go to bed tonight. It will play within my imaginations, allowing me to relive the joyous moments time after time. — Neerja Prava Kansakar, Batch of 2005, Malpi International School
