KATHMANDU:

The folks of Kathmandu and Pokhara can look forward to a rendezvous with none other than Indian Idol 3 finalist Prashant Tamang, courtesy Springwood, a new men’s wear brand from the house of Surya Nepal. According to a Surya Nepal press statement issued on September 24, Prashant will be performing in Kathmandu and Pokhara. He will be accompanied by two other Idol contestants — Deepali Kishore and Ankita Mishra, and our very own star Nima Rumba.

The artistes will be performing live at the St Xavier’s School ground, Jawalakhel, Kathmandu on September 29, and at the Exhibition Ground, Pokhara on September 30.

“I am very excited and looking forward to performing in Kathmandu and Pokhara,” the statement quotes Prashant as saying. It adds, “I am also very grateful to all the people of Nepal who have supported me throughout the event.”

Prashant 24-year-old of Nepali origin from Darjeeling, India has beat odds and many of the Idol judges’ favourites to be one of the finalists in the popular talent hunt show.

Springwood, the sponsor of this event, is also running a unique contest where participants who send in the most number of SMSs will win a Dashain Springwood wardrobe. There are also daily prizes of concert tickets and Springwood shirts to be won.
