Rowling may write eighth Harry Potter book
JK Rowling says she has not ruled out writing an eighth Harry Potter novel, but not for another 10 years. She told a magazine that she had had “weak moments” when she has said “Yeah, all right” to an eighth book. Before JK had made it clear the series would be in seven parts. The seventh — and supposedly final — Potter installment was published in July.
In the interview, she said it wasn’t likely Harry would be in another book. She said, “If — and it’s a big if — I ever write an eighth book, I doubt that Harry would be the central character. “But these are big ifs. Let’s give it 10 years.” The seventh instalment — Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — became the fastest-selling book when it was published.
