Sassy Zone visits again

Kathmandu: Close Up Sassy Zone happened for the third time at Rox bar, Hyatt Regency on Saturday, March 20, 2004. The event, which has become the cool thing to do on weekend evenings was organised in association with your favourite daily, The Himalayan Times.

The house was already rocking with music played by DJ Sourav since noon and soon the crowd flooded in. A couple-focussed event, the Sassy zone provided singles the opportunity to find a partner and have a good time also. Games had been lined up to keep the audience entertained with fun prizes to win. The first couple to enter the Close Up zone were to win a prize and Suman Poudel and Rama Dahal were taken by surprise! "We are really surprised and happy to be receiving this award," said the delighted couple excitedly.

There was a Lucky Spot Dance competition. A space on the dance floor was marked as the lucky spot unknown to the dancers and the couple who danced in that spot were to win a prize. Raj Sharma and Manju who had come from Delhi bagged the Lucky Spot prize. "We think this event has been really fair," said the couple who had been dancing for a really long time.

Around 240 people attended the programme say the hosts and unlike the other Sassy Zones, there were an equal amount of partygoers from both sexes. "Though this is the third time we are hosting Sassy Zone, it is the best yet. This was definitely the best of the three events," said Ramesh Basnet, manager of Rox Restaurant and Bar.
