Saying hello to 2061

KATHMANDU: Krunch Alooz in association with Kathmandu Metro Round Table 4 organised a mega event to bid a farewell to Nepali New Year 2060 and to welcome 2061 at Hyatt Regency, Bouddha on April 12. The main highlight of the event was the ‘Sainya dil mein aana re’ and ‘Nisha’ fame Nicollete Bird who performed these numbers live to the delight of a large gathering. Along with dance performance by Nicollete, DJ Tangree rocked the show. The event was co-sponsored by The Himalayan Times, Hyatt Regency and McDowell’s. The organisers informed that the fun event was organised in aid of a school adoption project.

New year gala

KATHMANDU: Arabian Nights organised by Hotel De’L Annapurna, Durbar Marg on New Year’s Eve was lauded with applause and appreciation. It was a well-managed event with a different theme to welcome the Nepali New Year. The Himalayan Times, Taj Palace Dubai, Gulf Air, Seagram’s Chivas Regal and Party Nepal.com supported the event. The ambience was created according to the theme ‘Arabian Nights’. Many of the decorative items were flown in specially from Dubai and the final look was mesmerising. Belly dancer Angela from Dubai entertained the audience with exotic numbers and Nalina Chitrakar and DJ Shail completed the picture of perfect entertainment. But the talk of the event was also the range of mouth-watering Arabian cuisines prepared by the master chefs Ashraf Adul Ashoush and Chef Ibrhaim Abu Zarqa Ahmad from Dubai and unlimited exclusive range of beverages.
