Scarface actor Loggia no more

LOS ANGELES: Hollywood actor Robert Loggia, best known for playing the role of Frank Lopez in the film Scarface, passed away at the age of 85. The star’s wife Aubrey Loggia confirmed the news that Robert breathed his last on December 4 at his home, after a five-year battle with Alzheimer’s, reports ew.com.

Aubrey also revealed that she and her daughter Cynthia were at Loggia’s bedside when he passed away.

Loggia was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for the film Jagged Edge for his portrayal of private detective Sam Ransom. His other films include Revenge of the Pink Panther, Trail of the Pink Panther, Curse of the Pink Panther, Over the Top, and Necessary Roughness. He was also loved by the audience for essaying the role of toy company boss Macmilan in the 1985 comedy Big.
