Two in one:

Basanta Panchami was celebrated in DAV School . Paras Sharma was the host of the programme. Various cultural dances and songs were performed. The chairman of DAV School — Anil Kedia — also attended the programme. On this occasion the students of class 11 also gave a farewell party to the students of class XII. Saraswati Puja held:

February 13 was Saraswati Puja. On this day Shridiwa International School, Kamal Pokhari organised a programme to which they invited their parents and student of other schools as well to worship the Goddess of Knowledge. Talent show:

Ideal English HS School organised the Ideal Open Talent Show 2005. Students displayed their talents in different events like singing, dance, extempore speech, poetry recitation, joke telling, etc. Lakpa Lama’s troupe was the best performers in the group dance show. Somia Baraili came first in the open song category. The Violin troupe won in the musical instrument category. — Tenchee D Lama, Ideal English HS School

Fabric painting exhibition:

GEMS organised a Fabric painting exhibition. The exhibition included beautiful and outstanding works by the students. Four Houses presented the exhibition — Garnet, Emerald, Moonstone and Sapphire. Adventure course:

On January 5 the ninth graders of Rato Bangala School left for Darjeeling to participate in the adventure course organised by the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI).

They were the seventh batch of students going to HMI. There were 26 students along with the two teachers. It was a two-week long programme where the students participated in a variety of activities, such as rock climbing and kayaking. — Sanya Thapa and Atulya Pandey, Class IX, Rato Bangala School
