EPS welcomes Nava Dailo

The student at NK Singh Memorial EPS School were in for a treat last week. They got a chance to witness an exclusive concert as part of the Nava Dailo programme that had famous singers like Prashna Shakya, Preeti Kaur, Apar Gurung and Nirnaya da NSK performing for them. Nirnaya also performed a duet with Prashna. The show was a huge success with not only the EPS crowd enjoying the concert, but also for those who were to be helped through Nava dailo. The Nava Dailo educational tour was conducted in order to collect donations for children who were affected by the insurgency.

Sports day observed

Budhanilkantha School held its ‘Annual Sports Day 2006’ on December 15. The competition started with pentathalon and triathalon which were held on November 28 and 29, followed by track and field meet from December 5 to 8. The students competing were divided into A, B, C, D, E and F divisions according to their height, weight and age. On Sports Day, there was march past and pyramid building with a number of track events. The winning houses were given trophies while the division champions and record-breakers were awarded with a cup and a certificate each. — Shambhu Babu Koirala, Class X, Budhanilkantha School
