Helping hands :

The students and staff of Suryodaya Secondary School, Dillibazar collected relief materials mainly clothes in aid of the flood and landslide victims of Western Nepal. Children’s Day marked :

On September 13, the Children’s Day was celebrated with much fanfare at the VS Glorious English Medium School. There were a number of competitions held like the ‘Greatest Comedian-2006’ and the ‘Junior Singing Competition (Nursery-III). Mahesh Bhatta of Class VIII ‘C’ was declared the Greatest Comedian-2006 of the school, while Para Dahal of Class VIII ‘B’ and Aakas Koirala of Class X ‘C’ were the first and second runners-up respectively. In the junior singing contest, Bipul Poudel of class II ‘A’ (Yellow house) was declared the winner, while Bipin Babu Kunwar of Class II ‘A’ (Yellow house) stood second and Kriti Kajol Chudal of Class III ‘B’ (Red house) stood third. — Priya Neupane and Mahendra Shahi, VS GEMS, Thapathali, Kathmandu

SLC-grads feted :

Bagmati English Boarding School, Banepa organised a farewell programme for the SLC-2062 graduates. Litterateur Mohan Duwal graced the function and gave away the awards to all the deserving graduates.
