Seigner Wants Her Family Back
LONDON: French actress Emmanuelle Seigner is desperate for her husband Roman Polanski's 32-year-old sex abuse case to be resolved - so she can have her family back.
In a rare interview, The Ninth Gate star has told Polish magazine Viva! she and her children Elvis and Morgane are not living with the embattled filmmaker at the family's ski chalet in Gstaad, Switzerland - where Polanski is under house arrest fighting extradition to the U.S..
The filmmaker fled America on the eve of sentencing after pleading guilty to a charge of unlawful sex with a 13-year-old girl in 1977.
Swiss police caught up with Polanski at a film festival last year (Sep09) and he spent almost four months behind bars before posting bail and being placed under house arrest.
In January (10), a Los Angeles judge ruled the director must return to America to face sentencing.
Seigner is convinced the messy matter will be resolved and she hopes her husband will be freed soon - because her kids with Polanski need to spend more time with their father.
Explaining they visit Polanski frequently, the actress says, the whole saga has changed her dramatically: "I am no longer such a carefree person; I am no longer the same Emmanuelle.
