MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja, who was arrested in Mumbai for alleged raping his domestic help, has been remanded to three-day police custody on June 15.

The actor was produced in Andheri court. He has been booked for rape under Section 376 and also charged under Section 339 for wrongful restraint and Section 506 for threatening another person.

On the night of June 14 Ahuja’s domestic help launched a complaint

alleging she was raped by the actor.

The preliminary medical report of the 18-year-old victim reportedly suggest that she was sexually abused. Ahuja has also been sent for medical

examination.

The incident allegedly happened at the actor’s home in Mumbai’s Oshiwara area. Police say the victim was employed at Ahuja’s home for the past one and a half month.

He has also been known for his temperamental

nature on film sets and

this controversy may put roadblocks in his film career. Ahuja is married to Anupam Auja. They have a two-year-old daughter also.
