Shining stylists
KATHAMNDU: Blenders Pride - TGIF Nepal Fashion Week 2016 is all about glamour and glitz. And the beginners of fashion designing are all ready to up the posh quotient of the event, with their sparkling and elegant creations. Some of the budding designers talk about their collections they will present on the runway of the Fashion Week to be held at Hyatt Regency Kathmandu from March 30 to April 2.
THEME: NAUDHU
Inspiration: The feeling of tranquillity we get from watching the night sky is our inspiration.
Strength of your collection: We have used glitters and rhinestones that signify the night sky. Also, our outfits are designed in hourglass shape.
Expectations from the Fashion Week: We are excited, nervous and overwhelmed at the same time. We have done our best for the Fashion Week, and we hope that our efforts won’t go
to waste.

THEME: HAUTE COUTURE (MAR’S COUTURE COLLECTION)
Inspiration: Fish scales that shine like glitters have inspired us. In the collection, we have used satin silk and lycra.
Strength of your collection: We have neutral coloured long and short length gowns. They are based on fabric manipulation techniques like smocking using embellishment with beads and pearls.
Expectations from the Fashion Week: It is a great platform for us to showcase our creativity.

THEME: ETOILE
Inspiration: Etoile means star in French. Our collection is inspired by the mystical night sky.
Strength of your collection: We have used silver and golden rhinestones that make our collection look attractive. We have placed them in a unique order to add glamour to the dresses.
Expectations from the Fashion Week: As this is our first time, we are expecting the Fashion Week to be the best platform for us to showcase our designs. It will be a wonderful experience for us.
