Son undaunted by Lennon legacy

LONDON:

Singer Sean Lennon is not letting the accomplishments of his parents John and Yoko Ono cast a long shadow on his career.

According to conatactmusic.com, Sean says it was inevitable that he would also enter the “family business”. He thinks he followed his dad’s footsteps into the music industry because he could not be a rebel.

He says: “I don’t really see it as a shadow. I see it more like a tree that I’m a branch of. I don’t think it’s strange to be a songwriter if your dad was one and your

mum was one as well. I think one either chooses to embrace your family history and go into the family business, whatever that is, or try to rebel against it and do something else. It’s basically the two choices, and I chose the former.”
