Song for peace

KATHMANDU:

The much awaited and hyped video of peace anthem Shanti lukau kaha was unveiled at Hotel Radisson on March 31. The song penned by lyricist Basant Chaudhary has flawlessly expressed deep meanings with simple words.

The song sang by various well known singers like Ram Krishna Dhakal, Yogeshwor Amatya, Nima Rumba, Satya Raj Acharya, Swaroop Raj Acharya, Nhyoo Bajracharya, Reema Gurung, Ciney Gurung, Prashana Shakya, Nabin K Bhattarai, Ani Choying Dolma and Bishnu Chemjong is going to be hummed by everyone soon for its melodious music composed by Nhyoo Bajracharya and heart touching lyrics.

The song is from the album Timro Namma which was released in September last year. Chief guest of the event was poet Durga Lal Shrestha who not only praised Chaudhary for his words full of sentiments towards the situation of the country but also recited a poem about his take on the present sate of nation.

The song beautifully captures voice quality and style of each and every singer making it soulful and distinctive. The video is directed by Suraj Singh Thakuri and he has done justice to the song by not only focussing on various artistes but also expressing the what the song is saying by using various clippings of Jana Andolan II and other mishaps that happened around the country.

Everyone present at the event got to enjoy the video twice due to public demand and as the artistes were also present at the event they performed the song live inviting all to sing along.
