Troubled pop star Britney Spears has topped a list of Most Foolish Americans conducted by the Opinion Research Group.

Paris Hilton came in second followed by Michael Jackson, George Bush, O.J. Simpson, Dick Cheney and Mel Gibson in the poll, reports pagesix.com. The group’s publicist Jeff Barge speaking of Spears’ victory said: “Going commando, mutilating your own head, bobbling your baby in public - they’ve all been done before by various contenders but never before in combination.”
