Students crowd science fair
Kathmandu:
The premises of Golden Gate International College was packed on June 28 with students from various schools and colleges for the Science Exhibition, which was inaugurated by Minister of Education and Sports, Pradip Nepal.
An assortment of various interesting stalls with the latest and innovative ideas were put up by students. they displayed the knowledge they’d gained by
successfully applying it to conjure up fascinating gadgets which they demonstrated and explained to others. Stalls with the latest technological machines, scientific equipment, posters and many others have been put up.
At the fair, students also have a chance to talk to scientists, get an idea about the present context of science and technology in our country, their inventions and contributions and also get encouragement and ideas from them.
This exhibition is a place for students, teachers and individuals with a keen interest in science to broaden their perspective about the field of science. Magic shows, documentary shows, comedy films, musical shows are also in the offing.
The fair is organised by Science For Development and sponsored by Goldengate International College. It is supported by NAST and Ministry of Environment, Science and Technology, with The Himalayan Times and Annapurna Post as the official media partners.
The exhibition is on till June 30, from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.
