The Office of International Education Services (IES) provides a wide range of information and services to international students and scholars at the University.
Applying there:
The University seeks to enroll international students who demonstrate strong academic performance with records suggesting potential for success at Maryland. Undergraduate admission is competitive and is most often offered to applicants whose academic credentials indicate marks of “very good” to “excellent”.
Freshman applicants:
Currently enrolled secondary school students and students who have completed fewer than 12 semester hours or 18 quarter hours of university-level credit beyond secondary school at the time they plan to enter the University of Maryland are considered freshman applicants.
