KATHMANDU: Fresh new designs by upcoming designers will be one of the major highlights of the Blenders Pride - TGIF Nepal Fashion Week 2016. The aspiring new faces talk about their unique collections that will be showcased at the fashion gala scheduled to be held from March 30 to April 2 at Hyatt Regency Kathmandu. Get to learn what inspired them to come up with such distinctive ideas.

THEME: FAIRY TALE

Inspiration: The light and dark colours of fairy tales have inspired our designs. Just like fairy tales, each and every outfit in our collection tells a story.

Strength of your collection: We have weaved dresses in buffet pattern. The strength of our collection lies in the variation of designs and colours.

Expectations from the Fashion Week: It is our very first step towards the world of fashion designing. We are not sure of what to expect from the Fashion Week other than our creations to be appreciated by the young crowd.

THEME: PURPURNIA

Inspiration: Colourful disco lights have inspired our collection. Through our outfits we want to create the

party mood.

Strength of your collection: Our collection is all about shinning in the crowd. We have used a lot of colourful elements.

Expectations from the Fashion Week: It is a very big platform for us to show our talent as designers. We expect to get more opportunities to participate in more fashion shows in future.

THEME: BOHO CHIC

Inspiration: We have been inspired by people who lead an unconventional lifestyle. We are fascinated by their artistic nature and eccentric fashion sense.

Strength of your collection: We have used a lot of exciting vibrant colours. Each piece that will be displayed will

be unique. Also, our outfits are more practical and easy to wear.

Expectations from the Fashion Week: It is a good platform for us to show our creativity.

THEME: SWORUP CASUAL WEAR SUMMER COLLECTION

Inspiration: We have used women as our muse. Their different facial expressions have inspired our collection. We have tried to incorporate these expressions in our prints.

Strength of your collection: Our collection is solely focused on long gowns with prints. The prints signify women’s mood.

Expectations from the Fashion Week: Since it is our first time at the Fashion Week, we are expecting it to be a stepping stone for us in the fashion industry. We are expecting positive feedback from the audience.
