KATHMANDU:

Sujoy Young and Kabita Kunwar were the winners of Suryakala supermodel competition on September 15, in which 40 models from different parts of the country had participated.

The competition was divided into three rounds and apart from the supermodel title, the models vied for 10 sub-titles.

The event was choreographed by popular Indian choreographer Kaushik Ghosh, who has presented three modelling events in Kathmandu earlier. The event was organised by Suryakala Films. Managing Director of Suryakala Films Binod Dube was satisfied that

program was successful. Judges included well-known make-up artist Sneha Rana

and others.

Guitarist Anil Shahi, singer Mingma Sherpa and Indian dancer Ashne Sarraf, provided much entertainment and heir performances were lauded with appeals for ‘once more’.

Other sub titles like runner-ups, photogenic, catwalk and talent were also awarded. The competition is a step towards taking the Nepali modelling industry to new heights and we can hope that such competitions will help the models to develop their careers.
