A nine-year-old boy has smashed a very unusual world record — balancing loads of spoons on his face. Joe Allison beat the previous record of 15 spoons by hanging 16 pieces of silverware from his forehead, nose, chin, cheeks and ears for 30 seconds. He discovered his talent two years ago after a cousin challenged him to balance a spoon on his nose. But Joe insists there’s no secret to his party trick, saying the spoons just stick on and he doesn’t know why. Officials are double-checking footage of Joe’s record attempt before entering him into the Guinness Book of World Records.
