Partymaniacs rejoice! Surya Lights Grind is back to rock the town again. The most-eagerly awaited youth event of the summer, Surya Lights Grind is all set to take Kathmandu by storm on May 14 at Hyatt Regency poolside. Here is your chance to bask in the sunshine, plunge into the pool and shake your booty till well after the sun goes down.

This edition of the Grind, as always, features top international DJs — Jimmy Tangree and Ash — strutting their stuff on the state-of-the-art sound systems. A DMI presentation, The Himalayan Times is the official media for the event.

So, get ready to be there on May 14 and no matter what else you forget, don’t forget to bring along your best dancing shoes, your swim suit and of course loads of attitude! Here we present a sneak preview of one of the DJs who will scratch the discs to imbibe the dancing attitude.

Having performed widely not only in India but, internationally too, ‘King of the DJs’ Jimmy Tangree is the only Indian DJ to have performed with the legendary Paul Oakenfield in New York. Besides being the judge of the “War of the DJs” event in India, he has made an indelible mark on the party scene in regions as diverse as the Middle East, Europe and South East Asia. Jimmy is a member of the DJ Pool, an exclusive club of the top 100 DJs worldwide.

His wide repertoire of music ranges from Retro to Trance, Techno to Hip Hop, and he is known to be an astute reader of audiences and popular sounds.
