MUMBAI: It’s the pretty lady’s birthday today. Yup, Vidya Balan shares her ‘beginning-of-the-year’ saalgirah (Jan 1) with another of our faves-Sonali Bendre and we take the opportunity to wish the beauties a very happy birthday.

But while Sonali is happily doing her bit for TV and keeping aside time mainly for her li’l boy, Vidya is the one who’s smiling her pretty smile all over. Reason? She ended 2009 on a high note with Paa becoming a huge success and Vidya being noticed for her looks, her performance and her style (yes, that too) despite it being a Bachchan vehicle. So, VB is flashing the smile a lot more. Ask her what she’s doing and her brown eyes light up — “Spending a lot of quiet time, quality time with loved ones and focussing on the new year with renewed energy and positive thinking.
