Vote for Indian Idol from Nepal

KATHMANDU:

When Prashant Tamang became the Indian Idol last year, Nepal erupted in jubilations. Rallies went around the various towns and cities here celebrating Prashant’s victory. The people of Nepal had a big hand in Prashant’s win. Neighbours or friends or cousins who were India-bound were plied with cash to vote for Prashant. Those living on the Nepal-India border crossed over to vote for their favourite contestant.

Well, this year Nepali fans of Indian Idol need not go to all this trouble to vote for the next Indian Idol. THT Live 2722 and TV Max Pvt Ltd have jointly acquired the exclusive voting rights from Nepal for Indian Idol 4. Voting will be open each week for 12 hours from 9:15 pm on Friday to 9:15 am on Saturday till the grand finale. So, from December 5 let your votes do the talking for you and you decide who gets to be the next Indian Idol.

Fourteen contestants, including Kapil Thapa who is an Indian of Nepali origin hailing from Dehradun, are in the fray for the Idol title.

The show is broadcast on Sony on Friday and Saturday at 9:15 pm, and is co-produced with FreemantleMedia. — HNS
