Weekend lounge: Actor’s fun time

He is one of the most busy actors of the Nepali film industry.

For Dilip Rayamajhi weekends are rare. So when he does have one, it is family time for him

Being in this profession (acting), I don’t have a weekend as such, but whenever I get some free time, I like to spend it with my family. I like Nagarkot, so that’s where I take my family whenever there is a free weekend.

On Friday nights I prefer going to Nanglo’s. I like the food there. On Saturdays, I take my children out. Basically I take them where they want to go. It’s either bowling or swimming or anything else they want to do.

When at home I like watching television especially Discovery’s Travel and Living channel. You can see cities from all over the world sitting in your living room.

I also read a lot of books. Cooking is another thing that I love to do in my free time. Since I am a vegetarian I prepare vegetarian dishes from different cuisines like Italian, Indian and Nepali.

About a year ago I had gone for a long trip with my whole family, which is the most memorable holiday for me. We travelled from Kathmandu to Pokhara, Palpa and Lumbini. That was the last tour when all of us were together because my mom passed away after that.
