Whitaker’s visit prompts Eiffel Tower shutdown
LONDON: Oscar winning actor Forrest Whitaker was mobbed at
the Eiffel Tower and the security was forced to shut it down so that he could see it in peace.
Contactmusic.com reports that Whitaker was visiting the tower early this week and the crazy fans gathered there to see their favourite star and caused such uproar that security was forced to give the actor a private tour.
"He was mauled. It was a crazy ordeal. They ended up closing the top level and giving him a private tour. Whitaker was so gracious when he came down, he took pictures with everyone," said a source.
Whitaker won an Oscar award for his portrayal of Ugandan dictator Idi Amin in The Last King of Scotland.
