Kathmandu: The public joined in voting for Nepali Taras overwhelmingly all through the week from Saturday as announced on the first day of the elimination round. “Our phone remains busy all day long and people are still calling even when the deadline expired at 10 pm on Wednesday,” Suman Bista said. One of the contenders will be eliminated during the Saturday episode depending on the votes received and judges’ decision. Alok Shree, one of the judges, added, “We play half the role in the decisionmaking.” Meanwhile, the top 10 finalists are engaged in concerts at different places in the capital to impress the audience for the votes they need to win the country’s first ever title of Samsung Nepali Tara.
