POKHARA: It was fun, food and music at the Phulbari Festival 2062 in Pokhara on April 1 (no fool’s day this). Organised by Phulbari Resort and managed by Lovely Pokhara Dot Com and S&G, the fest saw pop singer Nabin K Bhattarai performing live before a crowd after a hiatus of four long years. This was certainly one thing the audience enjoyed.

Singers Sindhu Malla, Abinash Ghising, Prasanna Sakya, Jaswanta Dev Shrestha, The Shadows, Mad Zone and Lime Stone also performed at the fest injecting more life into the event.

Bhattarai belted out Timile Herda Kasailai Dar Lagchha, while Sindhu Malla made the crowd stand up and dance to Jhal Jhali Ankhama, and Kamal Man Singh promised that Mero Maya Jhuto Hoina.

The festival, organised with the objective of providing wholesome entertainment to the youngster and families, was attended by a large number of viewers.

The programme was also an attempt to make starred hotels more accessible to the Nepali people, said JB Aryal, executive manager of the resort, who also announced the scheme of ‘one night’s stay at the resort at $1’. Food stalls and a ‘children’s park’ were the main attractions for the elder people and children, who went boating around the pond and looked that the peacocks there. Foods items like barbeque, selroti, curries pwere available.
