Yak and Yeti’s Christmas gift for kids

KATHMANDU: It was a heart-warming scene to watch little toddlers running around with so much happiness and enjoying Christmas afternoon to the fullest. Altogether 40 children from Bal Mandir had gathered at the garden of Hotel Yak and Yeti on December 25. Christmas morning came as a delightful surprise for all these similarly dressed kids watching Santa Claus walking around patting and playing with them. For last five years Hotel Yak

and Yeti has been organising Christmas lunch and entertainment for orphans of Bal Mandir. This year too children got to enjoy their Christmas with delicious food and an intriguing magic show by Magician Sushil.

“We feel this is the right way to live the Christmas spirit. Watching children enjoy the festival and to see a smile on their faces makes one realise the real meaning of Christmas,” said Sales Director, Bharat Joshi. Children clapped and cheered as Magician Sushil showed various tricks. Navaraj who came with all his friendly shyly said, “It was so much fun. I liked the magic show and the cookies.” Bal Krishna Dangol, Deputy Director of Bal Mandir said, “It is always a pleasure to see the children enjoy any festival. And coming to such programmes they learn a lot, like table manners, the spirit of giving and enjoying something together as a big family.” At the end Father Christmas distributed gifts for all the children who lined up to receive their gifts and said, “Thank You” with a big smile.
