Sudurpaschim and Lumbini likely to experience moderate rain with thunder and lightning
KATHMANDU, JULY 31
The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has forecast generally cloudy conditions across Lumbini Province, Sudurpaschim Province, and the hilly regions of Nepal throughout the day on Wednesday, while the weather will remain partly cloudy to mainly fair in the rest of the country. Moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places in Sudurpaschim and the hilly areas, a few places in the Terai region of Lumbini Province, and isolated locations in the Terai regions of Madhesh and other provinces.
For tonight, the weather is expected to remain generally cloudy in Koshi, Madhesh, and Sudurpaschim Provinces, along with the hilly areas of the country, while partly cloudy to mainly fair conditions will prevail elsewhere. Moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely at a few places in Madhesh and Sudurpaschim Provinces, as well as some hilly regions.
According to the meteorological analysis, the country is currently under the influence of monsoon winds, with the monsoon trough situated near its normal position, contributing to the current weather pattern.
