KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 2
The weather across Nepal is expected to remain partly cloudy in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, while the rest of the country will experience clear skies, according to the latest weather bulletin from the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology. The current conditions are attributed to the influence of westerly winds.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division at the DHM, the weather conditions are expected to remain unchanged throughout the afternoon and continue into the night.
The MFD further states that fog and mist will persist in many areas of the Tarai regions across the country. Biratnagar in Koshi Province recorded the densest fog, with visibility reduced to just 50 meters, while Janakpur in Madhesh and Bhairahawa had visibility of 100 meters. Meanwhile, Simara recorded a visibility of 200 meters.
The department has advised the public to take necessary precautions, as fog and mist are likely to continue affecting parts of the Tarai regions over the next 24 hours. These conditions may impact daily activities, agriculture, health, and transportation, including road and air travel.
