Light rain is likely today across several regions of Nepal, according to the Meteorological Forecast Division (MFD). Specifically, areas in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, along with scattered spots in the hilly regions nationwide, may experience these light showers accompanied by occasional thunder and lightning.

As per the forecast, there will be mainly fair conditions across the country, with partly cloudy skies except for the hilly regions, where partly to generally cloud condition may be more prevalent.

Additionally, there's a possibility of light snowfall in some high-altitude areas.

As the day progresses into nightfall, there is likely to be partly cloudy skies over Koshi province and the hilly regions, while the rest of the country should see fair weather prevail.

The chance of light rain or thunderstorms lingers into the night, particularly in certain hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces. Meanwhile, the MFD also hints at the potential for light snowfall in select high-altitude regions of these provinces.

Nepal is currently partially influenced by a combination of western and local winds.

Over the past 24 hours, rainfall has been recorded in various locations, with Biratnagar receiving the highest amount at 22 mm. Okhaldhunga saw 10.6 mm, while Taplejung and Dhakuta recorded 8.9 mm and 8.3 mm respectively.

In Kathmandu, there was a modest rainfall of 2.5 mm in the last 24 hours.
