KATHMANDU, MAY 6
Generally cloudy weather conditions are expected across much of the country today, with partial cloud cover in some Terai areas, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.
Light to moderate rainfall or snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely at some places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, and at a few places in other provinces.
Tonight, cloudy conditions are expected to persist in Koshi Province and the hilly and Himalayan regions, while other areas will remain partly cloudy. Moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning is likely at some places in Koshi Province and at a few places in the hilly regions of Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki. Light rain or snowfall is also possible at isolated locations elsewhere.
Meteorological analysis shows that the country is currently under the influence of a western low-pressure system, local winds and a low-pressure area in the lower atmosphere near the eastern region.

- Pokhara: 26–28°C; rain likely (60%) / 19–21°C; light rain (20%)
- Biratnagar: 33–35°C; moderate rain (40%) / 22–24°C; light rain (40%)
- Dhangadi: 31–33°C; light rain (20%) / 20–22°C; partly cloudy
- Jumla: 19–21°C; light rain (60%) / 6–8°C; partly cloudy
The Division has advised the public to remain cautious, particularly in areas prone to rainfall, thunderstorms and possible weather-related disruptions.
