The department said generally cloudy conditions will prevail over the hilly and Himalayan regions, while the Terai is expected to remain partly cloudy. Light to moderate rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning is likely at a few places in Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces, along with other hilly and Himalayan areas.
Pokhara, Jumla, Dadeldhura, Dipayal, Okhaldhunga, Jiri and Taplejung are also likely to receive moderate rainfall with thundershowers. Pokhara has the highest probability of rainfall at 70 percent.
Tonight, the Himalayan region is expected to remain generally cloudy, with chances of light to moderate rain and snowfall at a few places. Light rain with thunder and lightning is also possible in some hilly and Terai areas of Koshi and Sudurpashchim provinces.
The department has urged the public, particularly those travelling through hilly and mountainous areas, to remain alert due to possible weather-related risks.
