KATHMANDU, APRIL 28
The Meteorological Forecasting Division has predicted generally cloudy conditions across most parts of the country on Tuesday, with moderate rainfall and thunderstorms likely in several provinces.
According to the forecast, Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, along with the hilly and Himalayan regions of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpashchim, will remain mostly cloudy. Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is expected at many places, with chances of heavier rainfall at one or two locations, particularly in Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
Partly cloudy conditions are likely in the Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpashchim, though isolated rainfall cannot be ruled out.
Tonight, cloudy conditions will persist in the hilly and Himalayan regions, with continued chances of rain and thunderstorms across Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and scattered rainfall elsewhere. Heavy rainfall is also likely at a few places in Koshi and Gandaki.
The country is currently under the influence of westerly and local winds, coupled with a low-pressure system over the eastern region.
Among major cities, Pokhara and Okhaldhunga are likely to witness moderate rainfall with high precipitation probability, while Kathmandu is expected to receive light to moderate rain. Terai districts including Nepalgunj, Dhangadi and Birendranagar are likely to experience light rain with relatively warmer temperatures.
